About
Harry Mbwasi
I am a second year software engineering student at the University of Dodoma, and a developer and graphic designer at Techpreneurs Solution.
My projects span Android apps, Django platforms and multiplayer games in Unity. Alongside the code, I make photo composites in Photoshop. This portfolio holds both: the applications and the artwork.
The graphic side is layout as much as image: posters, banners, brochures, magazines, calendars and flyers, the work that has to hold a headline, a block of copy and a set of details at whatever size it is printed or posted at. Alongside it I make photo composites, blending photographs in Photoshop into single scenes, and those go up on @henrizer26.
Doing both is deliberate. An application that works but looks unconsidered still loses the argument, and a design that cannot be built is only a picture. Holding both means fewer handovers and fewer things lost between them.
Across the work
Different projects call for different decisions. ScamShield brings several ways of checking a message into one Android app. Ventiqa connects invitations with attendance at the door. The Outbreak brings networking and a shared game environment together. In the artwork, the attention moves to light, colour and the joins between photographs.
